Most of you who know me know that I’m border-line obsessed with the Metal Scene. earlier this evening, Dimebag Darrell of Pantera and Damageplan fame was brutally shot to death while performing on stage.

Apparently a gunman walked up on stage, shot the legendary guitarist 5 times killing him, turned the gun on other members of the band and eventually turned the gun on the crowd. reports vary that anywhere from 2-5 people have been killed, and countless others wounded.

The gunman was shot and killed by a police officer, undoubtedly saving countless other lives.

No word on if other members of the band were shot and/or killed. Vinnie Paul, (Darrell’s brother) who was also in Pantera plays drums for Damageplan.

my heartfelt sympathy goes out to Damageplan, Superjoint Ritual, their familes and friends, and all the fans that are undoubtly as stunned and shocked as I am over this.
