Well, I’ve done it. I’ve officially registered to go back to school, I’ve ordered my books, and my first classes start on the 27th of Dec. For those of you who don’t know, I dropped out of High School, got my GED, and spent the last 8 years or so trying to get a decent job in the IT industry. Today I work at the IT helpdesk for one of the world’s leading paper-product manufacturers. The disadvantage is, I have to work through a contracting company.

To borrow a page from Scott Adams, and something that my friend John reminded me of a day or so ago, I’m 27 years old (almost) and it’s really time that I dive into, and start swimming in the Mobility Pool. In order to achieve that lofty goal (sarcasm), I really need to get a college degree. This I start my time with the University of Phoenix Online.

I know what you’re thinking, “Oh, an ONLINE school, that’s no better than your GED!” But that’s not so much true anymore. University of Phoenix is the largest private accredited University in the country, and that at least has to count for something.

So, I’ve just added to my already incredibly high workload. that workload including .. well.. work, United Admins, War Ensemble, working on the Via Noctis website, working on this blog, and spending time with my family.

I no longer play SWG, I have passed on the torch of the Net229 Coordinator to someone else in FidoNet, and I have little to no time to play games (Although I’m looking forward to trying Sid Meyer’s Pirates! when I get home tonight), And I manage to squeak in some time on my favorite IRC channels once in awhile. Something somewhere has to buckle, or they need to invent a way to squeeze 30 hours into a day.
