My compy took a digger today.
I had an amazing uptime of over 3 days ? until I tried to reboot.
Went to login with my password, keyboard and mouse stopped responding the second I hit a key.
Tried again? same thing
Went to safe-mode ? same thing.
Went to command prompt ?. That worked, but it didn?t do me any good.
Installed windows on another partition? login works fine there, no keyboard issues at all.
So, what the hell is going on? I?m not going to be able to watch the end of Season 2 of 24 tonight because of this stupid problem.
I?m only inches away from saying ?Screw windows? and installing Linux on that machine too.. it?s not like I actually get a chance to play any games or anything :-/
Maybe it?s time I check out OpenOffice again? and WineX ?
But then I need to teach my Sister-In-Law about the wonders of X-Windows
She?s gonna hate me!
Maybe I?ll install windows on a small 20 gig partition of my HD ? all for her

do it
put windows as a back up on a small partition. im getting ready to set up my ssh server again, and i just finally got around do FDISK’ing my laptop HD and installing SuSE 9.1 over it…only took a couple hours to get all the drivers working - minus the wireless NIC which is a spare anyway
