Smegging Hell!
I’m so sick of hearing about the Terri Schiavo issue. The lady is a vegetable, she can’t move, talk, do anything, and her parents are trying to keep her alive. To me, that’s cruel and unusual punishment. The problem with this, is Terri has no Living Will. Terri’s husband, who [...]

The tsunami of sea water was followed instantly by a tsunami of spittle as the religious sputtered to rationalize God’s latest felony. Here we’d been placidly killing each other a few dozen at a time in Iraq, Darfur, Congo, Israel, and Palestine, when along comes the deity and whacks a quarter million in a couple of hours between breakfast and lunch. On CNN, NPR, Fox News, and in newspaper articles too numerous for Nexis to count, men and women of the cloth weighed in solemnly on His existence, His motives, and even His competence to continue as Ruler of Everything.

I’ve been fighting with my TV Tuner for almost a month now. There’s very little information on the intarwebs about my particular card (ATI TV Wonder), and even less information about getting it to run under Linux. I had it working under windows somewhat decently, but it was really only good for watching [...]

Just fucking wonderful. As most of the clan knows, I’ve been pretty short on cash the past … well.. forever. I was down to my last $5, with no food in the house, and my van running off fumes. I was on my way to drop my paycheck off at the bank, [...]

Brett Favre will be returning as a Green Bay Packer for at least one more season. Most of you that know me, know the only sport I follow is Football. After watching Green Bay being dismantled this off-season, we finally have some good news.
Mike Sherman, the Packer’s head coach said that Favre’s [...]

A minister’s son from Simljan in Austria-Hungary, you were precocious from an early age. At three you could multiply three-digit numbers in your head and calculate how many seconds visitors to your home had lived. In awe of your older brother Dane, you shot a pea-shooter at his horse, causing it to throw him and inflict injuries from which he later died. This tragedy haunted you ever after. You frequently suffered bouts of illness with hallucinations throughout your life. During one affliction of cholera, you encountered the writing of Mark Twain, with whom you were later to be close friends. Later, another, this time mystery, illness inexplicably heightened your senses to a painful extent, only relenting when you hit upon the idea of the alternating current motor.
