Just fucking wonderful. As most of the clan knows, I’ve been pretty short on cash the past … well.. forever. I was down to my last $5, with no food in the house, and my van running off fumes. I was on my way to drop my paycheck off at the bank, and I realized that I didn’t have my check.

I usually toss it on the seat next to me in my van, but low and behold, it twas not there! I get paid on Thursday, and I work ’til midnight. I cash my check on Friday or Saturday, and then usually go shopping. So, this led to a frantic search for my paycheck.
Not on my desk, not in my van, not anywhere around the house …. Did I leave it at work?
I drove all the way out to work (it’s about a 15 mile drive, one way) and checked my desk there. I had wonderful visions of paychecks dancing in my head, and taunting me from under my work keyboard. When I got there, there was no paycheck. Then a startling thought occurred.

I cleaned a bunch of papers off my desk Thursday before I left, the papers were in the same place my check normally sits. Therefore, the check got tossed in the trash.

(insert curse words here)

So, needless to say, I have no food, no gas, nothing to drink in the house, and no money to buy any of it with until next Thursday.
My Life Sucks.
