in about 6 hours, I shall leave for the long, arduous journey to Texas. Tay won’t let me hook my computer up in the van, so I’m rather upset. I wanted to use it as a portable (albeit very large) mp3 player, and hook it directly into my GPS for real-time mapping. Unfortunately my inverter is only 300 watts, so I think she’s in luck there, I doubt the little thing could handle the power that would be drawn from it.

It’s about an 18 hour drive from my home in Wisconsin to Grapevine, Texas. If I add in frequent stops for various caffeinated items, and include the time that I”m sure I’ll spend getting lost, I think 20 is a very conservative number. (No, I will not stop to ask for directions, with myriad of technical tools at my disposal, such as my phone, GPS, and computer if needed, I should be able to get myself back on course easily enough!).

Anyway, I’ll see some of you in Texas!
