No it’s not going to be attached to the NCC-1701 or the Millenium Falcon, but according to this article Scientists may have a working “Warp” engine in 5 years. A Flight to mars would take 3 hours, and a trip to a star 11 light years away would take a mere 80 days.
I never thought I’d live to see it, but let’s hope it works!
