Jesus Christ on a Cracker.
We’re all quite horrified and sad over what happened at Virginia Tech on Monday, but this one incident is making everyone look over their shoulders. For instance, An article in the Washington Post begins with:
BOULDER, Colo. — A University of Colorado student pleaded not guilty Wednesday to making comments that classmates deemed sympathetic toward the gunman blamed for killing 32 students and himself at Virginia Tech, authorities said.
Wait, What? Apparently the kid mentioned that he was “angry about all kinds of things from the fluorescent light bulbs to the unpainted walls, and it made him angry enough to kill people”. Last week, no one would have noticed this. We would have brushed it off as no more than a twisted joke. Today, however, we’re sending the kid to jail.
What ever happened to our first amendment rights? Oh, that’s right, some wacko in the White House is slowly taking those away from us along with practically every other right we’ve been guaranteed in The Constitution. It won’t be long now before Hillary Clinton and Jack Thompson start blaming this on video games too.
