Recently I’ve been watching Google Trends to try and find some things to write about that people might be interested in. Today’s number one search is for the Lake Tahoe Fire, which as of this writing has destroyed more than 220 structures and is threatening 500 more.

I found it ironic, and a bit disturbing that … well… take a look at “hotness” for yourself:

Tahoe Fire is on fire!

Yes, that’s right, the search term “tahoe fire” is on fire itself.
