Security is an Active Process

Too many people take a “set it and forget it” approach to security, especially in the website hosting industry.  Ben Hughes, the network security manager at Etsy gave a talk at DevOpsDays in Minneapolis a few days ago. I know his pink hair is a little distracting, but the talk is fascinating.

 

 

 

Speaking of security, I should probably point out that I’ve officially launched Sysprosium. We do server management, managed backups, and system & website monitoring with text message alerts (starting at the low-low price of FREE!).  And yes, we do active security too.
